The Undergraduate Certificate in Aquaculture and Aquarium Science (AQS) has been developed in partnership with and utilizes their highly regarded curriculum.  The certificate delivers 10 one-credit courses in water quality, fish anatomy and physiology, life support systems, quarantine and biosecurity, nutrition, and disease recognition. Offered fully online, this certificate provides intensive online training with a primary focus on aquatic animal health and husbandry. 

Designed for learners at different stages, the program serves high school students exploring marine biology, undergraduates at institutions without a marine focus, and working professionals who want to retool for the growing aquaculture and aquatic animal care fields. The flexible online format enables recent graduates and career changers to build job-ready competencies on a manageable schedule, preparing them for roles in aquaculture farms, hatcheries, public aquaria, and aquatic animal care facilities.

Aquaculture now supplies over 50% of the seafood consumed globally, and Aquarium Science remains a valued area of interest as suggested by the growing international trade in ornamental species, the performance and expansion of public and private aquaria, and the use of aquatic organisms as biomedical research models.
