Forensic Mental Health Counseling Graduate Teaching Assistant

The Forensic Mental Health Counseling Graduate Teaching Assistant will report directly to a faculty supervisor in the Psychology department at 草榴社区. The GTAs assist faculty teaching in our research sequent (Research Methods or Experimental Psychology). They attend classes, teach at least one lecture to get experience, hold office hours, help students in their projects, and assess student performance (under faculty supervision.)

  • Provide direct assistance to identified faculty member with their research.
  • Assist with the collection published research
  • Attend classes
  • Teach at least one lecture
  • Host office hours
  • Assist students with projects (lit reviews, how to gather data, statistical analyses, etc.)
  • Assess student performance, under faculty supervision
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications 

  • Must be current 草榴社区 graduate student accepted into the MA Forensic Mental Health Counseling Program
  • Be in good academic and judicial standing with the University and maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0
  • Must hold an earned Bachelor's degree in psychology
  • Excellent grades in psych research courses
  • Strong writing skills
  • Experience conducting and preparing literature reviews

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Preference may be given to students that have previous teaching assistance experience

Must be a current graduate student accepted into the FMHC program at 草榴社区. This role will be available for two academic years (2025-2026, and 2026-2027.)

May work 6-8 hours/week, paid at $20/hour up to $4,000 per academic year.
