BRISTOL, R.I. 鈥 Roger Williams University Theatre program founder William Grandgeorge will return to campus this September as guest director of the 草榴社区 freshman class production 鈥淭his is the Rill Speaking.鈥 First produced on the 草榴社区 campus 1971, the historic reproduction marks the 40th anniversary of the theatre program on campus and the 25th anniversary of the 草榴社区 Performing Arts Center.
A favorite of years past, 鈥淭his is the Rill Speaking鈥 evokes the everyday ups and downs of small-town American life. William Grandgeorge, who directed the play鈥檚 original run at 草榴社区, was a driving force for theatre on campus, instituting the related London Study Abroad Program, the University鈥檚 first study abroad experience.
Performances will run Sept. 23 and 24 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets cost $4 for general admission and $2 for students and senior citizens.
